9ct Gold Large Dark Blue Sapphire & Diamond Halo Cocktail Ring
A striking 9ct gold dark blue sapphire and diamond cocktail ring, featuring an impressive large oval faceted sapphire surrounded by a sparkling scalloped halo of diamonds.
At the centre is a substantial dark blue sapphire measuring approximately 15 × 11mm. Its colour is particularly deep and dramatic, appearing almost black in subdued lighting while revealing attractive blue tones and flashes when held under a stronger light.
Surrounding the sapphire are 24 small diamonds, approximately 1mm each, with an estimated combined diamond weight of approximately 0.12ct. The diamonds are set into contrasting white gold, creating a bright scalloped halo that beautifully frames the richly coloured centre stone.
The substantial head measures approximately 20 × 16mm, giving the ring excellent finger coverage and making it a true statement or cocktail ring.
The detailing continues beneath the stones. Viewed from the side, the ring reveals an attractive raised openwork yellow gold gallery, with sweeping pierced detailing supporting the gemstone setting. At approximately 6mm deep, the setting gives the sapphire impressive presence while the openwork construction adds another decorative element to the design.
Weighing approximately 5.1g, the ring has a reassuringly substantial feel. It is fully hallmarked for 9ct gold and additionally carries the DIA mark for the diamonds.
