This is a truly stunning art deco period 18ct gold, platinum, sapphire and diamond three stone halo ring in a size L, US 5 3/4. The stones are set into a thin layer of platinum with milgrain detail, which sets them off beautifully. The band measures approximately 1.5mm in width, with a depth of around 1mm, and is nice and sturdy. The the head of the ring measures around 1.5 x 1cm, so is a fairly good size. The sapphires measure around 4mm (central stone) and 3mm (outer stones). The diamonds are an old cut, and some are a little darker in colour than others, with a champagne tint (see pictures). They measure approximately 2.5mm x 8 (0.06ct each, approx), and 2.25mm x 6 (0.04ct each approx) with a total combined carat weight of an estimated 0.72ct. It is in fabulous condition considering it's age, and is stamped with 'HG&S 18ct' as pictured.
