This is a fabulous, chunky, original antique art deco period 9ct rose gold coiled twin snake ring with garnet, in a size T US 9 124.In 1840, Prince Albert designed a snake ring for Queen Victoria, two snakes wrapped round the finger in an enchanting symbol of eternal love. This made snake rings extremely popular during this time. Each snake head has a 3.5mm garnet. It's condition is remarkably good considering it's age (it is 102 years old!), with only minor signs of use. The ring is around 1.4cm in width at the front and 1.1cm at the back. It is fully hallmarked as pictured for London 1919, and it is a very respectable weight at around 8g.
