This is a beautiful antique Edwardian 18ct gold, sapphire, ruby and diamond entwined hearts ring, in a size N, US 6 3/4. The combination of two hearts entwined symbolises the eternal love and bond between two people, two hearts joined as one. The stones are nice and bright and have a lovely sparkle when the light hits them. The two main stones each measure approximately 3mm, and there are 16 diamonds in total, each measuring around 2mm (0.03ct each, approx). The calculated total weight of the diamonds is somewhere around 0.50ct. The head of the ring is around 11mm x 7mm, with a depth of around 3mm, and the band is around 2mm in width at the back. It is in very good overall condition considering it's age of around 125 years, apart from some small surface scratches on the inner band, and a tiny nick on the edge of the band, where the gold has been tested at some stage, though these could be polished out by most jewellers for a small cost should you wish to do this, and cannot be seen when worn. It is stamped with '18ct' as pictured and weighs around 2.4g.
