Antique Chester Hallmarked Garnet & Split Seed Pearl Lavalier Necklace
A beautiful antique Chester hallmarked garnet and split seed pearl lavalier necklace, believed to date to circa 1909, and supplied on a new 9ct gold 18-inch oval link chain.
This elegant pendant is centred with a rich 3.5mm garnet, surrounded by delicate split seed pearls within an intricate floral and scrolling openwork design. The attractive pearl-set bale, featuring three additional split seed pearls, beautifully continues the decorative styling into the suspension.
The graceful flowing lines and floral motifs are characteristic of jewellery from the Edwardian period, creating a timeless and feminine design that remains just as wearable today.

Condition
There are a couple of historic solder repairs to the reverse of the pendant, together with a small vacant loop at the base where a decorative dropper was most likely originally suspended. These features are only visible from the reverse and do not detract from the attractive appearance of the necklace when worn.
The necklace is in good condition.
