This is a beautiful antique late Victorian 15ct yellow gold and natural opal gate bracelet. The opals have a wonderful play of many colours, including the prized oranges and reds. The stones are whole cabochons (not doublets or triplets) and they graduate in size. The central stone measures around 1.2 x0.9cm, then 1 x 0.8cm, then 0.9 x 0.8cm, then 0.8 x 0.7cm and finally the outer ones, which are also 0.8 x 0.7cm. So, the stones are a good, respectable size, and they are also whole stones, not doublets or triplets. The estimated total carat weight is thought to be 8.48ct or thereabouts. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" (17cm) in length and 4mm in width. It has a secure push-in locking clasp and a safety chain for extra security. It is a respectable weight at approximately 7.5g. It will come boxed, but not the one pictured.
