This is a beautiful original antique Victorian (circa 1899) 18ct gold, ruby and diamond five stone ring, in a size O, US 7 (approx). The rubies each measure around 5mm so are a good size. The diamonds are old mine cut diamonds and measure around 5 x 4 x 3mm (central stone - 0.53ct approx) and 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5mm (outer stones - 0.23ct each, approx) and I would estimate the total combined carat weight to be somewhere between 0.90 - 1.00ct. (I do not know the colour or clarity - sorry) It's condition is commensurate with age (it is 121 years old!), with some surface marks on the rubies as pictured, and one tip of one of the claws is snapped, though the stones are perfectly secure. The head of the ring measures 1.8 x 0.6cm and the band is around 1.5cm in width and 1mm in depth and is nice and solid. It is fully hallmarked as pictured for London 1899 and it weighs around 3.4g. Box for display only but alternative provided.
