This is a truly stunning, large antique Edwardian 14ct gold sapphire and diamond milgrain panel ring in a size H1/2, US 4. The head of the ring is a good size, measuring around 1.9cm x 1.1cm, with a depth of around 3mm. The central sapphires each measure around 3.5mm, and the outer sapphires are around 3mm each. There are 14 diamonds in total, each measuring around 2mm each (0.03ct each, approx), with a combined carat weight of an estimated 0.42ct. Each stone is set into a small milgrain panel, which sets the stones off beautifully. The shoulders of the ring have a charming tulip like pattern (art nouveau style). The band is around 1.5mm in width at the back. The ring has been recently, newly hallmarked by the Birmingham assay office, and has still got it's original (though rubbed), 14K stamp along with another indistinct stamp (see pictures). The ring is in good overall condition, though there is a hairline crack around the top of one of the shoulders which can be seen in pictures 7 & 8. However, it is perfectly secure and would be a minor repair should you wish to do this. Any questions please ask. Box for display only but alternative supplied.
