This is a truly stunning, large, heavy art deco period 14ct & 18ct white gold emerald cut emerald and diamond milgrain ring in a size Q, US 8. The head of the ring has tested on XRF as just slightly under 14ct gold - (it tested as '582' (58.2% gold), rather than the '585' (58.5% gold) minimum standard for 14ct gold, so is only slightly under. The band of the ring is 18ct gold and possibly a slightly later replacement. The head of the ring is a good size, measuring around 2.1 x 1.3cm, with a depth of around 7mm. The ring is set with 12 x 1.5mm diamonds (0.015ct each, approx) with a combined carat weight of somewhere around 0.18ct. The emerald measures around 5.5 x 4.5mm and the band is around 2mm in width. The are the remains of the old hallmark on the inner band as pictured, but this is now unreadable. It is a respectable weight at approximately 6.6g. Any questions please ask. Box in pictures for display only, but an alternative will be supplied.
