This is a gents / unisex vintage (circa 1940's, approx)18ct yellow gold rectangular red stone signet ring in a size M1/2, US 61/2. The head of the ring measures around 1.3 x 0.8cm and the band measures approximately 4mm in width at the back. The stone (a glass imitation ruby) measures around 9 x 4mm. It weighs approximately 4.8g and has full hallmarks for Malta, of the British crown, 'C18' (for 18 carat gold) and the date letter 'g' as pictured. I believe this dates to the 1940's. It's condition is reasonably good considering it's age - the stone has a scratch and a couple of small marks as pictured, though this is not too obvious to the naked eye (I only noticed it when I looked at it through a loupe) and is much more obvious on the pictures as they are close ups and a flash was used. There is also a small file mark on the inside of one of the shoulders where the gold has been tested at some stage, but again, this is not drastic or obvious. It will be sent boxed, but not the one pictured.
